The Simi Hills, Chatsworth Hills and Santa Susana Mountains is an area of incredible beauty. This area is known around the world as "The American West".

Because of its rustic beauty and the fact that it is located only 25 miles from Hollywood, these hills and mountains have been used to shoot many hundreds of "Westerns" - both movies and television shows set in the American "West". These movies and television shows have been viewed by millions of people around the world. If you can think back to the last (or the first) "Western" that you saw, there is a good chance that it was filmed right here in the Simi Hills and Santa Susana Mountains.
